Open Skies to the USA
The recent EU-US Open Skies Agreement will see significant increases in Dublin-USA direct services. Already announced are Aer Lingus services to Washington, San Francisco and Orlando. More announcements from US based airlines are expected.Middle Eastern Route Changes
Gulf Air is terminating Dublin-Bahrain service from Summer 2007 as part of systemwide cutbacks. Etihad Airways are commencing service four times a week from Dublin-Abu Dhabi in July 2007. New Aer Lingus routes for Winter 07/08
Aer Lingus will offer service to new destinations Helsinki, Agadir, Funchal and Bucharest this winter. Aer Lingus will also be resuming service to Copenhagen.Car Park Charges
Dublin Airport Authority car parking now costs EUR8.50 per day in the long term(remote) car parks and EUR3.00 per hour in the short term car park. Quick Park charge EUR7.50 per day/EUR1.00 per hour in their remote car park. The original Dublin Airport Hotel has now changed ownership and is trading as the Clarion Hotel, part of the Choice Hotels group. The Great Southern Hotel is now trading under the Radisson SAS name following the sale of Great Southern Hotels by the DAA.New Runway for Dublin?
Fingal Council recently granted planning permission for the construction of a new Northern Parallel Runway at Dublin Airport. The new runway will be on the North side of the Airport parallel to the existing main 10/28 Runway and will serve to improve capacity at Dublin Airport.
